Ladies and gentlemen,

On behalf of the Secretariat, it is my distinct honor to welcome you to the ninth edition of the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Model United Nations Conference.

The primary focus of our conference, humanity’s struggles with power and greed, is as relevant today as ever. Beyond mere wars and conflicts, this encompasses a spectrum of issues ranging from governmental and corporate corruption to economic inequality and the unsustainable exploitation of natural resources. These challenges persist due to the actions of those who prioritize personal gain over the collective well-being of others and the planet. It is imperative for us to acknowledge that the power to effect change lies within each of us, and it is our responsibility to work towards positive transformation within our communities and beyond. By uniting our efforts and striving for a more equitable and sustainable future, we can overcome the pervasive effects of power and greed in our world.

The VIT Pune MUN conference serves not merely as a gathering but as a platform that empowers young individuals to engage in discussions addressing the most pressing global issues.
